Sidekicker is an online app which allows users to pick up casual or temporary shifts across several different industries.
The site’s chief executive officer Thomas Amos says the hunt for casual work has hit an all-time high in recent months as people look to supplement their main income and has highlighted the best places to pick up extra work.
The hospitality and healthcare sectors have significantly increased their casual rates in the last six months, with some roles now paying 30 percent more than they did at the start of the year.
Hospo workers can make up to $250 in one night as a bartender or food and beverage attendant, with weekend and overtime penalty rates providing attractive bonuses.
Warehousing and admin support are also paying high salaries to casual workers due to high worker demand post-pandemic.
Aged care nursing assistants can receive up to $59 per hour, or up to $80 an hour if they pick up work at a high-risk Covid site.
And the best part? With most of these jobs, little to no qualifications are required.
A one day first aid course and a police check may be the most paperwork you need to provide, and if you happen to have any relevant credentials, the pay rate might just go up.
