This year, the show won’t just be bringing entertainment for Adelaide families and all, it could just be putting money back into your pocket too!
Starting in just 36 days, the annual event normally requires roughly 10,000 staff for the event’s running, which has created the opportunity for people who are seeking some casual employment over the course of the show. Considering our current economic uncertainty, these jobs could not have come at a better time, providing people with the opportunity to make a few extra bucks on the side.
The Royal Adelaide Show is made up of more than 400 commercial exhibitors each looking for applicants, with those landing a position able to earn up to $28 an hour!
The other perk is that a lot of these positions only require little to no experience, with loads of resumes coming in from individuals new to the industry.
The Royal Show committee are advertising LOADS of roles in Showbags, Catering, Event Staff as well as Overnight and During Event Cleaning!
Roles range from more hands-on roles such as Event Day Staff who are expected to engage with patrons and assist with general information, General Hand at the Livestock Pavilion, Labourers which help with operational maintenance, Food and Beverage Staff, and working behind the counter in Showbag Sales, to more advanced roles as a Judge, Steward or Security staff. Positions like cleaning have been difficult to fill however, so there are ample opportunities in that sector.
The committee have received a crazy amount of responses, with some exhibitors looking over up to 50 applications a day, so get in quick!
